1-5 for the ‘ask me about video games’ post.

  • Answering a couple of these again 🙂
  • 1. Favorite video game?
  • Skyrim!!!!!!!!
  • 2. First console you owned?
  • This is both going to make me sound old and also (for my age) way behind the times. My first console was a Nintendo Gamecube. (I played a lot more PC games before I got that. I received the Gamecube as a wedding present.)
  • 3. A game that holds a special place in your heart?
  • The original Sims. It was the second online community in which I found friends (some of whom are still Facebook friends, [mumble] years later!)
  • 4. Favorite video game character?
  • Still kind of have to say whatever character(s) I’m playing at the moment in Skyrim, so…right now it’s Flutica Propiona, my imperial bard ship’s captain lady 🙂
  • 5. Least favorite video game character?
  • Yeah, still Kreia. I also really enjoyed taking Lord Lucien down. Fuck that guy. He killed my dog.

5: Least favorite video game character?

Kreia. Quit mysterious-mentoring me and get to the frigging point already.

  • 10: Hardest video game you’ve played?
  • Hmm. I’m tempted to say Fable III, because it was literally so hard to play it when the fps was like running in molasses that I never finished it. 😛 But from a gameplay standpoint, I don’t tend to play games that I find superduper challenging, because I don’t find that very fun. In that vein, probably Star Wars: Battlefront (gave up after a couple missions).

15: answered in previous post 🙂

20: How often do you use cheats?

I used rosebud and klapacious ALLLLLLLLLL the time in the original Sims. XD. In Morrowind I don’t think I cheated very often…in Oblivion I definitely console coded some extra gold to buy modded armors…and in Skyrim, I’ve given myself extra gold, crafting ingredients, specific items I want; brought followers into places they’re really not supposed to go (Soul Cairn, Nightcaller Temple, etc.); and…killed some NPCs that simply Would Not Die and/or kept one-shotting me. 😛 I don’t do the first variety very often, typically only when I’m a bit short on ingredients while I’m already standing at the forge and my stash is across the continent. I do bring followers with me pretty much everywhere I can, because they’re my buddies and we’re a party! And the kill code…I do it more on Flutica because her crossbow is still relatively weak and sometimes NPCs regenerate health faster than she can take them down. But I think I’ve only done it a couple of times in the past month. XD

    1, 4, 15, 24!

    1:Favorite video game?

Skyrim, no question. The amount of hours logged on Seam attests to that, too.

    4:Favorite video game character?

Whoever I’m playing in Skyrim at the moment? XD That’s surprisingly tough. I would say Reaver from Fable II (…and III…I never finished that game though), Carth from KOTOR, and a whole passel of people from TES. I have soft spots for my College of Winterhold classmates in particular, though I’ve only ever traveled with Brelyna very much.

15: Video game character you wish you could meet in real life?

Queen Barenziah. All the history she’s seen and been a part of! The scheming she’s perpetrated!

24: Hardest boss fight you’ve been in?

The final battle in the Shroud raid on DDO, against Arretrikos. I die a lot in there.

  • Most memorable gaming moment?
  • There are SO many to choose from, but probably the one that stands out the most was the first time Mazurga got chomped by a dragon in Skyrim. I did NOT expect it at all, and it made me crack up for like five minutes afterward. It has very rarely happened to my characters ever since, but I do occasionally see a hapless guard get nommed on.
