Apparently I never upped it from Adept. So…yesterday I bumped it all the way up to Legendary for Qadriyyah, because she’s been two- or three-shotting draugr deathlords, dragons were super easy, etc.

And then Qadriyyah went to Skuldafn.

Hahahahahahahaha.

Got killed MULTIPLE times by draugr deathlords who were one-shotting Qadri with ebony arrows. Resorted back to sneaky thief tactics rather than outright assault with double-fisted Incinerates. Mayhem is a wonderful, wonderful spell that I hadn’t used in a looooong time. And the Dragon Priest summon that comes with The Radiant Dark quest in Interesting NPCs was super useful.

Having to play strategically again is awesome. I used to be able to cruise through a ruin in under 20 minutes with Qadriyyah, and if I hadn’t set it to Legendary I probably would have breezed through Skuldafn and jumped into Sovngarde in about half an hour. Instead, it’s taken me at least three hours and I’m not even clear of the main temple yet. Slowing down and enjoying the game is…different! 😀
